My fiancé Tom Cypert is exhibiting in the Ontario Museum's annual Day of the Dead exhibit. The opening reception will be on Saturday, October 13 from 1:00-3:00 PM. Celebrate the artists of the annual Día de los Muertos exhibit, showcasing contemporary work in painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, ofrendas (altars), and the winners from the city-wide art contest! Meet the artists, enjoy live music and participate in a drop-in workshop. Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Remarks and recognition will begin at 1:30 pm. Admission is Free.

Day of the Dead T-Shirts

Art Auction and Sale: Saturday, December 8, 2018, 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Tickets for the Auction are $40 for Museum members / $50 for non-members.
The Ontario Museum of History & Art, Associates presents, Night at the Museum. This exhibit and fundraiser celebrates the diversity of the artistic styles and the visions of local artists. On Saturday, December 8 from 5 PM to 7:30 PM, the Museum Associates will host an evening celebrating the arts and an art auction. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, and the main attraction – the sale of the artwork of participating artists. Art will be sold in several way, including fixed price, silent auction and live auction. Art is expected to be priced at $50-$250+.
Tickets for the Night at the Museum event are $40 for Museum members / $50 for non-members. Proceeds from the event will support the Ontario Museum's many arts and education activities. Help us support the Museum Associates at the first-ever art auction event! Tom and I are both participating in this event.

The City of Ontario partners with Chaffey Community Museum of Art (CCMA) will put on the inaugural Ontario Festival of the Arts in the Arts District. The Ontario Festival of the Arts will celebrate visual and performing arts with artist booths, art demonstrations and instruction, maker machines, display of historical artifacts and ephemera, mini walking tour of Arts District historic buildings, and live musical performances. The Arts Area is a non-profit organization based in Ontario, California, led by Chaffey College art history professor and arts advocate John Machado and a board of directors made up of regional artists and arts professionals. The Arts Area’s mission is to develop and support the creative industries - businesses, organizations, and individuals involved in producing cultural, artistic, and design goods and services.
Membership into The Arts Area is free. Members get access to an online directory, general content access, event and class notifications, an opportunity to add events to the public Calendar and a job posting board.

Artists Reception - Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 PM
A community favorite that features unique artworks by local and regional artists. The award winners from the 2017 Ontario Open Art Exhibit debuted their most recent work in painting, mixed media, photography, drawing, and sculpture. The 2018 Ontario Invitational artists are first, second and third place winners: Luis Rodriguez, John Egan, and Tom Cypert; as well as Honorable Mention artists: Andrea Benitez, Laurence Merrill-Dilman, Jerry Weems and City Council Liaison winner Frank Carrillo. In addition, Mayor pro Tem Recognition Award, artist Chris Kueng, and Touch of Heart Recognition Award, artist Aaron Duncan exhibited their work. Read more...
